A former Member of Parliament, Prajwal Revanna was sentenced to life imprisonment in a special court of Bengaluru after he was found guilty of raping a 47-year-old domestic worker. The court ruled that he was guilty of all the charges levelled against him including repeated rape, sexual harassments, voyeurism and criminal intimidation. The sentence was highlighted in the abuse of his strong authority and seriousness of crimes. The court has also ordered a large amount of fine, of which a good percentage will be compensated to the victim.
