Mishra X Trial Lawyers is inviting applications from qualified and licensed Indian lawyers for the position of Attorney, California Workers’ Compensation Support Counsel. The role is fully remote and involves supporting a U.S. law practice handling California Workers’ Compensation matters.

The position offers a monthly salary of ₹25,000 to ₹30,000 and requires candidates to work according to California working hours, which will generally mean a night shift in India.
About the Attorney Role
The Attorney will provide substantive legal and case support for California Workers’ Compensation matters. The work will include reviewing case materials, conducting legal research, preparing documents and assisting lawyers with the overall preparation of cases.
Candidates will be expected to understand the fundamentals of California Workers’ Compensation law, including relevant statutes, procedures and practice guidance. The employer has specifically indicated that applicants should review the materials available through the California Division of Workers’ Compensation before appearing for the interview.
Responsibilities
The selected Attorney will review and summarize medical records, employment records and other case documents. The role will also involve assisting with pleadings, petitions, discovery documents and legal correspondence.
The candidate will prepare case summaries, timelines, exhibit lists and research notes and assist with electronic filing before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board. The Attorney may also appear remotely as a hearing representative under the supervision of California-admitted lawyers.
The position further involves assisting lawyers in preparing for WCAB hearings and trials, maintaining case files and calendars, communicating with clients, opposing counsel and medical providers, and preparing legal research and written outlines.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold an LL.B. or LL.M. degree and must be licensed to practise law in India. Applicants are required to have active and good-standing bar enrollment, with proof of active bar enrollment required as part of the selection process.
Strong English communication, legal research and writing skills are required. Candidates should also have good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality while handling legal and medical records.
Experience with litigation workflows, insurance matters, medical record review or U.S. legal processes will be considered an advantage. Candidates must also be comfortable working according to California hours and meeting U.S.-based deadlines.
Salary and Work Conditions
The position is a full-time remote opportunity with Mishra X Trial Lawyers. The listed salary is ₹25,000 to ₹30,000 per month, with compensation described as competitive and paid in USD. A routine performance bonus is also mentioned.
