
Supreme Court Recruitment
Advertisement for the recruitment of candidates to fill the positions of Senior Court Assistant-cum-Senior Programmer and Junior Court Assistant-cum-Junior Programmer has been published by the Supreme Court of India in New Delhi. There are a total of 26 positions that are open, with six of them being for Senior Court Assistants and twenty being for Junior Court Assistants. Within the Supreme Court Registry, the jobs are classified as Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted employment opportunities. Prior to the deadline on June 27, 2025 at 11:55 PM, applications must be submitted online.
Positions Available and Open Positions
- Six positions are available for Senior Court Assistant-cum-Senior Programmer.
- In the salary Matrix, Pay Level 8 is equivalent to an initial base salary of Rs. 47,600 plus allowances.
- Junior Programmer and Assistant to the Junior Court (20 positions available)
- Within the Pay Matrix, Pay Level 6 a starting base salary of Rs. 35,400 plus any allowances
- Please be aware that the number of available positions may shift depending on the needs of the Court.
Restriction of Age and Relaxation
As of April 1, 2025, the age range for Senior Court Assistant-cum-Senior Programmer is between 18 and 35 years.
As of April 1, 2025, the age range for Junior Court Assistant-cum-Junior Programmer is between 18 and 30 years.

According to the regulations set out by the Government of India, applicants who belong to the categories of SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-servicemen and those who are dependents of freedom fighters are eligible for a relaxation of the upper age restriction. Existing workers of the Supreme Court Registry are not subject to any age restrictions.
Qualifications in Education and Professional Experience
Senior Assistant to the Court and Senior Programmer
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with a concentration in computer science or information technology and a minimum of six years of experience working with computers;
or
An advanced degree in computer applications or a master’s degree in computer science, together with a minimum of six years of experience working with computers; or
B.S. in Computer Science or BCA (with a grade of at least 60% or a first-class grade) with seven years of experience working with computers.
Bachelor’s degree in law from a reputable institution is highly desirable.
Junior Assistant to the Court and Junior Programmer as well
Important Elements of Qualification:
Engineering or Technology Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Computer Science or Information Technology; or
B.S. in Computer Science; or equivalent
Earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Application from a reputable institution.
At the time of the interview, candidates are required to provide evidence of their credentials and demonstrate their experience. Any inconsistency that is detected at a later time will result in the annulment of the nomination.
Methodology of the Examination
This will be accomplished by direct recruiting, which will include the following:
Written Examination of the Objective Type
Reasoning, quantitative aptitude, general awareness, and general English are the topics that will be covered.
A Test of Technical Aptitude That Is Objective
Topics: Subjects that are pertinent to computer applications and programming
Assessment of Capabilities in Practice
Practicing skills in court registry software and programming via hands-on activities to evaluate practical abilities
Interview
An Interview Board will conduct the interviews, and applicants are required to get a minimum qualifying mark of fifty percent in each stage.
For Practical Aptitude Test, the applicants who will be called for it are those who have cleared both the Written and Technical Aptitude Tests. Those candidates who have passed Practical Test will be selected for the Interview, with the number of candidates being limited to no more than three times the total number of positions available.
Guideline for Reservations
Applicants who are classified as SC, ST, OBC, or differently abled shall be given preference. Chief Justice of India may provide any adjustments or exclusions that may be appropriate.
Instructions for Applying and the Cost
- Online registration on the Supreme Court website (www.sci.gov.in) is the mode of registration.
- Fee is not refundable:
- General and Other Backward Classes: Rs. 1,000
- 250 rupees for members of the SC/ST, ex-servicemen, differently abled, and dependents of freedom fighters
- Payment is accepted only via the UCO Bank payment mechanism and only be made online.
- Multiple Applications: Only the most recent application that was filed will be taken into consideration.
- Examples of documents that should be uploaded include a recent picture, a signature, a proof of age, educational credentials, experience certificates, and a category certificate (if applicable).
Dates That Affect You
- Commencement of Online Registration: the 6th of June, 2025
- At 11:55 p.m. on June 27, 2025, the deadline for online registration.
In order to stay up to current on the latest information about test dates, admit card release, and interview schedules, candidates should visit the Supreme Court website on a frequent basis. Downloadable admit cards are required to be obtained from the internet; there will be no physical admit cards distributed.
Instructions in Generic Form
Verification of Eligibility: During the interview stage, the documents will be checked for credibility. In the event that applicants who are not qualified are identified at any moment, their candidacy will be terminated without prior notification.
There will be no mail delivery of the admit card; it may be downloaded from the Supreme Court website.
In the event that candidates are required to attend interviews or exams, they will not be eligible for travel reimbursements.
A No Objection Certificate (NOC) is required to be shown by government workers during the interview process. This certificate must be issued by their government department.
Impersonation, the fabrication of documents, or the making of false representations may result in disqualification and even legal action being taken against the individual at fault.
Applicants are not permitted to make any changes or withdrawals to their applications once they have been submitted.
The jurisdiction of Delhi will have the authority to hear and decide any issues that may arise as a result of the recruiting process.
