This is a full-time, office-based position. The role involves working directly with different business divisions and helping them manage contractual and regulatory matters.

Unlike a litigation-focused job, this position deals primarily with commercial transactions, contract management and corporate advisory work.

Candidates must have at least seven years of professional experience in end-to-end contract management.

Prior experience working in a law firm is mandatory for this particular vacancy.

Applicants should be comfortable drafting complicated commercial agreements, negotiating contractual terms and identifying legal risks before a transaction is finalised.

Good communication skills are also important because the selected lawyer will regularly deal with finance, compliance, product and business teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating and finalising different types of commercial documents. These may include business agreements, proposals, contractual letters and documents connected with commercial arrangements.

A substantial part of the work will involve examining contractual terms and ensuring that the company’s legal and commercial interests are protected.

The lawyer will also deal with disputes or disagreements arising during contractual engagements with vendors, business partners and service providers.

Another responsibility will be providing legal advice on proposed business transactions. This includes studying the legal requirements of new business models, identifying possible problems and suggesting workable solutions.

The selected professional will coordinate with internal departments, including finance, product, compliance and business operations.

Paytm also expects the candidate to review existing contractual arrangements and help improve standard agreement templates and internal legal procedures.

The position requires independent handling of assigned transactions, rather than merely assisting with documentation.

Salary and Compensation

A salary figure of ₹15 lakh per annum has been indicated for this opportunity. However, Paytm’s official recruitment advertisement does not confirm this amount or disclose a fixed salary package.

Applicants should therefore treat ₹15 LPA as an unverified figure and confirm the actual compensation with Paytm’s recruitment team.

The official application form asks candidates to provide their current CTC and salary expectations.

Job Location

The position is based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

According to the official advertisement, the job requires on-site attendance. It is not advertised as a remote or work-from-home opportunity.

How to Apply?

Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications through Paytm’s official recruitment portal.

Applicants must upload their updated CV and provide their contact information, educational and professional details, total work experience, current compensation and expected salary.

Candidates should highlight their experience in commercial contract drafting, redlining, negotiations and corporate advisory work in their CV.

Those currently working at law firms should also clearly describe the types of transactions and agreements they have independently handled.
