Bentham Science and Mastek, in collaboration with Dr. Saikat Gochhait, have invited researchers, academicians, industry professionals, practitioners, thought leaders and students to contribute chapters to an upcoming edited book titled “Digital Transformation and Emerging Technologies: Industry Perspectives for the Future Enterprise.”
The Call focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence, digital transformation and emerging technologies with practical industry applications. The initiative also provides an opportunity for industry and academia to collaborate on research, innovation and publication.
About the Edited Book
The proposed book will examine how emerging technologies are transforming enterprises and industries. Contributions are invited on subjects including Large Language Models, Generative AI, AI driven digital transformation, intelligent systems and AI augmented decision making.
Other areas include human AI collaboration and the future of work, cloud and edge computing, enterprise AI, responsible AI, ethics and governance, Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing and sustainability. Real world industry case studies and technology implementations are also encouraged.
The book is edited by Dr. Saikat Gochhait and is being developed in collaboration with Bentham Science and Mastek.

The Call is particularly relevant for researchers and emerging scholars interested in connecting academic research with practical industry problems. The initiative promotes industry academia collaboration and encourages research that can move from classroom or laboratory ideas towards real world solutions.

Who Can Contribute
Researchers, academics, industry professionals, practitioners, thought leaders and students with relevant research interests are invited to contribute. Particular emphasis is placed on authors who have research expertise aligned with the themes of the book.
At least one co author is required to have an H index of 10 or above in Scopus and/or Web of Science SCIE. The citation and H index assessment is to be considered excluding self citations. Authors should also not have retracted publications indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
Students and emerging researchers with strong industry focused research ideas are encouraged to participate, including through collaboration with an eligible faculty member or research collaborator where required.
Research Themes
Potential chapters may examine Large Language Models and Generative AI, AI driven digital transformation, AI augmented decision making, intelligent systems and knowledge graphs.
Research on human AI collaboration, the future of work, cloud and edge technologies, enterprise AI, responsible AI, ethics and governance is also invited. Other possible areas include Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, sustainability, green innovation using AI and industry case studies involving real world implementations.
The broad scope of the Call also allows contributors to explore interdisciplinary questions involving technology, business, management, law, ethics, governance and industry practices where they are connected with the central theme of digital transformation.
Submission Deadline and Process
The first phase submission deadline is 1 November 2026. Interested contributors are required to submit their proposals by email to saikat.gochhait@sidtm.edu.in.
The submission should include the proposed chapter title, abstract, names and affiliations of the authors, a short author biography and relevant Scopus or Web of Science profile information where applicable.
The initiative also invites conferences, universities, research networks and professional bodies to collaborate on selected conference papers being developed into book chapters, special sessions on AI and digital transformation, joint research and publication initiatives and other industry academia collaboration opportunities.
