The School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, has announced the XVII SLCU International Conference 2026–27 on the theme “Navigating Cross-Border Commercial Disputes: Legal Challenges and Emerging Perspectives.”
The conference will be held on December 18–19, 2026, and will bring together students, research scholars, academicians and professionals to discuss emerging legal issues surrounding cross-border commercial disputes.
A key highlight of the conference is the publication opportunity in a Scopus-indexed journal, subject to review and editorial approval.
Scopus-Indexed Journal Publication Opportunity
The Conference Committee has announced Taylor & Francis Research Insights as the Publication Partner for the conference.
Under the publication opportunity, selected papers will be considered for publication in a Scopus-indexed journal, subject to the applicable review and editorial processes.
The organisers have clarified that selection for journal publication will depend on review and editorial approval. Other selected papers will be published in an ISBN book following a rigorous double-anonymous peer-review and editorial process.
Article Publication Charges may apply. Selected papers may also be eligible for sponsorship, subject to the applicable editorial and publication procedures.
Conference on Cross-Border Commercial Disputes
The central theme of the conference is cross-border commercial disputes, an area that increasingly involves questions of international commercial law, dispute resolution, jurisdiction, enforcement and emerging legal frameworks.
The conference aims to provide a platform for discussing the legal challenges arising from commercial transactions and disputes that involve multiple jurisdictions.

Cash Prizes for Selected Papers
The conference will have three submission categories:
- Students
- Academicians/Professionals
- Research Scholars
In each category, the top two papers will receive a cash prize of ₹12,000 each, along with a trophy.
This provides participants with an opportunity to have their research recognised within their respective category.
Internship Opportunity at AZB & Partners
The conference also offers an additional opportunity for student participants.
According to the announcement, student winners will be offered an internship opportunity at AZB & Partners as a special recognition.
