Learning Through Experience and the Development of Skills
Because the International School of Law acknowledges the significance of experiential learning, it incorporates practical training into the curriculum over the course of the five-year program. Among the most important initiatives are:
Moot Court Competitions are held annually, and they imitate appellate advocacy, legal research, and written submissions. These moot courts are held both within universities and between universities.
Pro bono legal advice is provided to impoverished areas by students in Legal Aid Clinics, which are supervised by faculty members. This allows students to hone their client-counseling abilities and develop a sense of social responsibility.
Structured internships commence in the second year of the program, and students are placed in a variety of settings, including courts, law firms, corporate legal departments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and government entities.
Participating in hands-on seminars that focus on negotiation and mediation helps participants learn skills such as advocacy, negotiation, drafting, and contract management, which are crucial for current legal practice.
Policy Research Projects: Students have the opportunity to become contributors to white papers, legislative initiatives, and policy briefs through the participation in collaborative projects with think tanks and policy institutes.
Because of these practical components, graduates are guaranteed to be “industry-ready,” meaning they are able to make contributions that are significant from the very beginning of their professional careers.
