The JSW Centre for the Future of Law (CFL), National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, is inviting applications for its Student Internship Programme.
The internship is designed for law students interested in law, technology, legal research, policy and legal system reform.
📍 Location
NLSIU, Bengaluru
This is a full-time, in-person internship. The programme requires interns to work on campus for 40 hours per week and cannot be undertaken remotely.
📅 Internship Period
The programme operates on a rolling monthly basis, beginning from May 2026.
Each internship cycle runs from the first working day to the last working day of the month.
Since the internship is full-time and in-person, students are expected to undertake it during their term breaks. Students with concurrent academic or other commitments are not eligible.
🎓 Eligibility
Applicants should be:
Currently enrolled in a 3-year or 5-year law degree programme or a relevant postgraduate programme.
Students should have strong research and analytical abilities, good written and verbal communication skills, and an interest in at least one of the Centre’s research areas.
🔎 Work Areas
Selected Student Researchers may work on:
Legal and interdisciplinary research
Doctrinal, empirical and policy-oriented research
Data collection, coding and annotation
AI and law projects, including evaluation of LLM outputs and prompt design
Preparation of datasets and research materials
Literature reviews, research memos, reports and working papers
Workshops, lectures and conferences
Research project coordination and related tasks
💰 Stipend
₹15,000
Students who successfully complete the internship will also receive a certificate of completion from the Centre.
Interns may also get opportunities to contribute to ongoing research projects and publications, where appropriate.
