UK Payroll & Finance Specialist
The selected professional will take ownership of monthly UK payroll while also supporting broader finance and administrative functions. The role involves working with an external payroll provider and ensuring that payroll information and statutory payments are accurate and properly reconciled.
The professional will be responsible for reviewing payroll outputs, including tax, pensions and statutory payments. The role will also involve managing employee changes such as starters and leavers and responding to payroll related queries.
In addition to payroll responsibilities, the position includes supporting accounts payable, invoicing, payroll reconciliation and other finance administration activities.
Eligibility
Candidates should have at least 3 to 5 years of hands on experience in UK payroll, which is an essential requirement for the position.
Applicants should ideally have previous experience working with a UK employer or payroll bureau and possess a strong understanding of PAYE, National Insurance, workplace pensions and UK statutory payments.
Experience managing payroll for approximately 50 to 100 UK employees is also expected. Candidates should be comfortable working with outsourced payroll providers and carrying out payroll reconciliations.
A CIPP qualification is preferred. Experience with Xero or similar accounting software would also be advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and good communication skills are important for this position because the role involves handling payroll information, financial records and employee queries.
Work Arrangement
This is an India based remote position offered on a part time contractual basis.
