The Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, Poland, is organising an international conference titled “AI in Legal Education and Practice” on 26 and 27 November 2026 in Warsaw. The conference will bring together scholars, legal practitioners, and academic leaders to discuss the growing influence of artificial intelligence on legal education, academic research, and professional legal practice.
The event will feature international keynote lectures, a Law School Deans’ Forum, and an open academic programme inviting paper and thematic panel proposals from researchers and practitioners. The conference is supported by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education under its programme for supporting scientific initiatives.
Conference Themes
The conference will examine how artificial intelligence is changing the way law is taught, researched, interpreted, and practised. Discussions will consider the opportunities and challenges created by generative AI for law schools, legal professionals, courts, and public institutions.
The organisers particularly welcome contributions on AI regulation, the application of AI in specific areas of law, legal practice, courts and judicial decision-making, public administration, academic research, and legal education. Researchers may submit proposals addressing the legal, institutional, professional, and educational implications of AI.
International Keynote Lectures and Deans’ Forum
The international keynote sessions will feature scholars and experts from universities and institutions around the world. These lectures will offer comparative perspectives on the impact of artificial intelligence on legal systems, legal scholarship, and the legal professions.
The Law School Deans’ Forum will focus on how legal education should adapt to generative AI. Academic leaders will discuss the competencies law students must develop independently, possible changes to assessment methods, and the skills future lawyers will need in an increasingly technology-driven profession.
Call for Papers and Academic Participation
The conference also includes an open academic programme for scholars and practitioners interested in presenting individual papers or organising thematic panels. The programme offers an opportunity to contribute to international discussions on the relationship between artificial intelligence and law.
Submissions are particularly encouraged in the areas identified by the organisers, including AI regulation, legal practice, judicial decision-making, public administration, research methodologies, and the future of legal education.
