A Public Policy Manager opportunity is available with the Latin America Public Policy team for professionals interested in public policy, technology regulation, artificial intelligence and government affairs. The position is part of the Product, Regulation and Strategy team and involves working on regional policy projects across Latin America.

The role is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with opportunities covering additional locations in the region. The selected professional will work closely with regional and global teams on policy developments, AI driven projects, strategic communications and regulatory issues.

Public Policy Manager Role

The Public Policy Manager will lead AI native projects aimed at improving the team’s policy research and analysis capabilities. The role involves designing workflows that use AI tools to increase the speed and consistency of regulatory, product and impact analysis.

The professional will also develop and maintain a regional narratives library. This will involve working with internal teams to develop broader policy narratives and adapting them to the requirements of local teams involved in regional policy engagements.

Responsibilities of the Public Policy Manager

The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing communications for senior leadership and keeping regional and global teams informed about important policy developments across Latin America.

The role will also involve leading ad hoc events and projects, coordinating with different teams and managing timelines and milestones. The Public Policy Manager will additionally handle budgets and contract coordination and may contribute to specific product analysis when required.

The position requires the ability to communicate complex technical and regulatory developments to non specialist audiences. The candidate will also work on measuring the impact of policy initiatives and developing systems that help the team understand the effectiveness of its work.

Eligibility and Qualifications

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science, International Affairs or Economics. Applicants are expected to have at least five years of professional experience in public policy, technology, advocacy, government affairs or related areas.

Experience in designing and applying AI tools for policy research, analysis and operational workflows is required. Candidates should also have experience presenting complex issues through narratives, presentations, policy memos and briefings.

Experience with quantitative analysis, metrics, measurement frameworks or impact assessments is also required. The ability to translate such analysis into reports for senior stakeholders will be important for the position.

Language and Preferred Experience

Fluency in English is required because the position involves regular communication with global leadership and cross functional teams. Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is also required for supporting public policy initiatives across Latin America.

Preference may be given to candidates with experience integrating AI tools into professional workflows and demonstrating measurable improvements in efficiency or quality. Experience with responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk assessment, bias mitigation and quality reviews, is also relevant.

Candidates with experience in AI policy, digital economy or internet policy, particularly involving regulatory developments in Latin America, may also be considered. Experience in the technology industry and a master’s degree in Law, Political Science, International Affairs, Data Science or Economics are among the preferred qualifications.
