The National Centre for Law & Administration (NCLA) at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) has opened an academic internship opportunity for law students. The internship will involve legal research work supporting the training of IAS officer trainees at the Academy.
The internship is a four week, on site opportunity based at the LBSNAA campus in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. While no stipend is offered, selected interns will receive free accommodation and meals during the internship.
Academic Internship for Law Students
The internship is intended for law students interested in legal research and public administration. Interns will have an opportunity to undertake research on legal issues that can contribute to the academic and training activities of IAS officer trainees.
The programme offers exposure to legal research within a government training institution and may be particularly relevant for students interested in public law, governance, administration and policy related legal research.
Work with the National Centre for Law & Administration
The National Centre for Law & Administration functions within Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, the institution associated with the training of India’s civil servants.
Selected law students will undertake research assignments connected with the Centre’s work and the training requirements of IAS officer trainees. The internship therefore provides an opportunity to understand how legal research can support public administration and civil service training.
Duration, Location and Benefits
The internship will be conducted for a period of four weeks and will be entirely on site at the LBSNAA campus in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.
The internship does not provide a stipend. However, selected interns will receive free accommodation and free meals inside the campus for the duration of the internship. This can reduce the major living expenses associated with undertaking an internship outside one’s home city.
