I condemn the brutal lynching of a Hindu in Bangladesh, just as I condemn atrocities on minorities everywhere.

 It is the hallmark of a civilised society that minorities there can live with dignity and honour. I regret neither India nor Pakistan nor Bangladesh can be called civilised from that perspective
